This past summer I made a life changing decision, although I didn’t realize it at the time.

After a friend’s persistent encouragement, I attended Brenda’s yoga class.  My first class was challenging as I had trouble even getting to the floor.  To my surprise, the next day I felt better than I had felt in a long time, so I made a commitment to myself to attend her class in hopes that this would help with my pain management.  Now, 8 months later, I can honestly say this was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  I truly believe that my health issues, flexibility and overall well-being have improved due to consistent yoga practice with Brenda.

Brenda is a compassionate and caring instructor who is truly interested in her students.  Her class is not intimidating and students of all ages and health issues attend.  The poses that she teaches are all beneficial to our health, but they are not the pretzel twisting poses that are commonly imagined when thinking of yoga.  She provides a quality experiences while offering a welcoming, Christian influenced atmosphere, allowing us to feel relaxed and comfortable.  Come join us, and experience for yourself the many positive benefits of her yoga classes.

A facebook post from a former student…

Yeah I did Zumba in Alaska and really liked it. Yes taebo was fun too. To be honest I miss yoga with Brenda from WHoly Formed and have struggled to find anything like it or that has the same results. Plus trying to get Mark in on whatever I decide to do.  Amy Guersney

I have had neck surgery for pinch nerves in the past. I started having issues again recently. The Chiropractor said it was typical after 10 years to have more neck pain. After some research on the internet, I decided to try yoga, in conjunction with Chiropractic care and therapeutic massages. After several months I no longer needed weekly adjustments and massages, when taking yoga. The yoga helps to keep the muscles stretched and my spine aligned. I can tell if I miss yoga for several weeks as the pain starts to return.

I have been taking Yoga classes from Brenda for over a year. Her classes can and are tailored to the needs of each class. Her instruction has been instrumental in my recovery therapy. I can recommend her instruction can help you too.   John Wing

I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Spinal Spondylosis and Stenosis.  Twice a week, I have a Chiropractic adjustment, spinal decompression then Brenda’s yoga class.  Yoga stretches and strengthens the muscles in my back so that the Chiropractic adjustments “hold”!  I am feeling stronger with less pain and stress.

My husband, who is 55 and has had two back surgeries, attends yoga class once a week and his golf game has improved.  He attributes improving his driver that was previously consistently 250 yards to currently consistently 285-296 yards, which by the way he has never attained in his entire life!  Yoga class is the only variable that has changed that would contribute to his success and he is confident that is the reason he is more flexible and is stronger.  He wants to keep attending Brenda’s class for that reason alone, plus he says that it is fun!  We love the Christian atmosphere, music and prayer!  Melanie Stewart

Almost 9 months ago, I was diagnosed with 8 bulging discs; 3 in my neck and the rest in the lower back.  At that time, I began going to a chiropractor and having great faith in the accomplishments that  he was making by adjusting my back despite being told I was eventually going to end up having surgery.  Around the same time, I was able to attend yoga classes.  I am very flexible and felt there wasn’t a whole lot this would do to help my back, although I would enjoy the peace of yoga  and attending the class with people with whom I had become friends .  I was wrong!  I did enjoy the class and the camaraderie, but,  by attending the classes and being faithful to continue the visits to the chiropractor, I have been able to build on the core muscles which hold my frame in a much better position than before.  I have been able to strengthen muscles that I had not realized were becoming weak.  I was flexible, and am more so now.

Recently, I have added Thai yoga to the equation.  Although I do go up and down on the sliding scale of bad days and good days, I have found that this really has improved the overall soreness and stiffness that I have experienced.  Before every session, I am adjusted, then I am stretched and manipulated through Thai yoga, and then I begin the regular yoga session.  This practice seems to have really helped with comfort and strength especially in dealing with everyday living. I have been a yoga client of Brenda’s for over a year and a half.  Brenda is professional in her instructor role, knowledgeable in all areas of exercise including martial arts.  Brenda is punctual in her appointments, gives adequate notice of any change of schedule with options.  Brenda is very focused on the needs of her clients and discusses any changes or limitations one may have prior to class.  My personal experience attending her classes have been extremely rewarding and I have experienced totally recovery of my shoulder disability.  Through Brenda’s attention to my personal needs, I was able to experience a rapid recovery, and being in the medical field, no one would have expected without surgery.  Chyrel Kennemer

I have been taking Brenda’s Stretch and Sculpt class for 6 weeks; my flexibility has improved remarkably, my posture has seen a definite improvement and I feel better! In addition, I have just completed my first week in the Power Sculpt class. I can feel my muscles strengthen and tighten; I can’t wait until I am able to “see” the results. I also have more energy and stamina and its only been one week!   Michele Schultz

I love this class! I workout with Brenda two days a week and it has done wonders for me. I love the fact that it is Christian based! A workout with scripture and prayer, you don’t see that too often. With other excerise programs I found myself getting bored with the same routine. Brenda creates a different workout for each class, so we never do the same thing over and over again. I leave the class so relaxed and stress-free. What mom doesn’t need that!  Tina Valedez

I love my pilates class. I have noticed a big difference in my body and how it looks. Brenda is awesome and she makes the class relaxing. Relaxation with a Christian emphasis is exactly what anyone needs. I love bringing the word of the Lord into the each and every class.  Sandra Cook
